Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

What is EDI?

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the exchange of business data between organizations by electronic means. EDI drastically reduces the need for transmitting and storing paper documents, thereby promoting the concept of the paperless office.

EDI messages conform to a set of standards that dictate how data is to be formatted and exchanged between systems. These standards ensure that various entities can trade business documents without the need for proprietary or customized solutions.

PoolStat® currently receives EDI data from over 150 data providers representing over 1,300 physical reporting locations. The system processes over five million EDI transactions each month. In addition, PoolStat® sends EDI data to a number of our business partners. We can work with you to establish EDI interfaces between your system and ours that will help ensure data accuracy, eliminate the need for rekeying and improve communications.

What standards does PoolStat® support?

PoolStat® supports both the ANSI-X12 and EDIFACT standards.
